There are two lines of inscriptions on the bottom (the horizontal part) of the frame, in Serbian. They'are from Mathew 6:26-29 (Look at the birds...and lilies...they don't worry 'bout anything and God gives them what they need...; you know that part), and the carvings of the frame are showing that in pictures - birds and plants, all part of that one design, and all happy and healthy and having what they need.
