One side of it depicts the Crucifixion and the other the Resurrection. The inscription on the stand (in
Serbian) is from the Orthodox (Nicene) Creed – under the Crucifixion side it says “He was crucified for
us under Pontius Pilate, and under the Resurrection side it says: And He rose on the third day,
according to the Scriptures.
The pale parts are just waxed while the darker parts are stained.
